TRAC ART WALK ON MAIN Join Toms River Artist Community and friends at our monthly Art Walk.  Starting Wednesday May 4th, 2022 and continuing the first Wednesday of every month.  Tables will be set up along the sidewalk on Main St. (starting at The Downtown Shops, 53 Main St.)  TRAC artist’s along with some friends will be showing off and selling their works right on Main St.  Some of the artist’s will be doing demos, some artists will have mini projects for the kids to take home.  You never know when live entertainment will show up either! Don't forget to visit the stores in the Downtown Shops and all the other businesses Toms River has to offer. This is a free, family friendly event.

Railroads and Jersey Shore Vacationing" by Bill Elwell Please join the Ocean County Historical Society at 26 Hadley Avenue, Toms River, NJ for the following program: Nestled halfway between two of Americas most important cities, the Jersey Shore seems perfectly positioned to be a vacation destination. Two hundred years inviting visitors and providing a home to residents have fused the business of tourism as a local way of life. Railroads, however, were the defining factor in creating and shaping the development of the Shore as a center for everything from day trips to whole summer vacations. Bill Elwell is an adjunct professor of History at Monmouth University. He is a lifelong resident of Ocean County and railfan and railroad historian. Journey back to the birth of Rock & Roll with The Rave-Ons! Starting with the king of rock & roll, Elvis Presley, the band pays tribute to rock & roll's founders. Audience members will sing along to songs by their favorite 50's artists including: Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Dion and The Belmonts, The Everly Brothers, and of course, Buddy Holly. By the end of the show, you will learn how all these great performers inspired and spawned some of the best bands of all time like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many other popular 1960's rockers. Harvest Arts Festival

The Harvest Arts Festival is set for Saturday, October 15th along Washington Street in Downtown Toms River. Washington St. will be filled with food trucks, merchandise & handcraft vendors, a beer & wine garden and local artists selling and displaying their works as part of a juried art show. There will be free pumpkin painting for the kids and other kids activities. Live entertainment from local bands throughout the day. Local businesses, restaurants, brewery and distillery will be open on the street as well. Free Admission & Free parking in downtown during the event.

Sinatra: A Voice in Time

In celebration of Italian-American Heritage Month, join us with Phil Bruschi, as he presents a musical biography on famed Italian-American performer, Frank Sinatra. Phil pays tribute to Sinatra's musical career; how he continually reinvented himself as a singer, as well as some of his biggest recordings from 1939 to his final retirement in 1995. Phil will sing selected Sinatra songs that were hits from the Big Band era to his solo career. Registration is required for all attendees.
