The Miracle Mets of 1969

History Professor and lifelong Mets fan Rick Feingold will recount tales of the 1960s Mets from their humble beginnings in '62 as the "worst team in baseball" to their triumphant 1969 season as World Champions. Featured from this era are: Managers Casey Stengel and Gil Hodges, 1969 rivals Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, and Baltimore Orioles, Mets sign-man Karl Ehrhardt, and more.

Schlossberg explains how Aaron teamed with younger brother Tommie to set the career record for home runs by brothers; how a chance spring training meeting with Robinson prepared him for a baseball world that was still segregated; and the constant comparisons with Ruth, with whom Aaron shared an uncanny Zodiac connection. All the big moments of Aaron's career, plus many lesser ones will be discussed. The author will have books available for purchase and autograph. WREP: When Radio Entertained People

Ultimate Johnny Cash: Late & Alone
The Ocean County Library 101 Washington St, Toms River, NJ, United StatesJoin performer Scott Moreau with his one-man tribute to Johnny Cash. Late & Alone features all of his hits and some deeper dives into the Man's music, as well as more in depth stories about Johnny's life. It spans nearly 50 years of his musical life, featuring songs from his American Recordings including his iconic epitaph, Hurt. Scott Moreau is from Litchfield, ME and holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University. After a lifelong dream of being a professional baseball player, Scott turned to the stage after seeing a life-changing performance of Les Misérables in London his freshman year of high school. Through his years in high school and college, he found a love for not only musical theatre but choral singing, directing, sound design and stage combat. Since graduating from IWU he has been traveling the country, performing everywhere from his home state of Maine to Osaka, Japan. His experience not limited to performing, Scott made his professional directorial debut with Ring of Fire at the Round Barn Theatre in 2011. He has since directed MDQ at Farmers Alley Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI and assistant directed at the Springer Opera House, both while doing double duty as Johnny Cash. When Charlie was old enough to sing, he began appreciating the beautiful Celtic songs and melodies he first heard in the largely Scottish province of his mother's birth, Ontario, Canada. Keenly aware of his own heritage, which includes healthy doses of Scottish and Irish blood on both sides of his family, Charlie has collected several hundred popular (as well as beautiful and obscure) selections and now performs them for thousands of fans up and down the Eastern Seaboard and across America.
