Celebrate the first harvest with TMI! Our ancestors celebrated life together with the rhythms of each season. Many of these celebrations were interwoven and connected to nature and Earth’s natural cycles. Lughnasadh or Lammas Day is one of those celebrations, and known as the first Harvest. Today, we celebrate Lughnasadh as a way of honoring nature’s incredible fertile energy at harvest time, and as a way to connect with our natural world on a deeper, more meaningful level. Because by recognizing and celebrating the little shifts in Earth’s natural rhythms, we can become more attuned to nature and feel more grounded in our everyday lives. Feel free to bring a small dish to share afterwards.

The Mathis House is celebrating it's 125th Birthday. Join us for a breakfast on a beautiful charcuterie board and enjoy a slice of frittata, French toast, fresh fruit, a warm scone with clotted cream, bacon and sausage, coffee, tea and orange juice. Each element holds power and wisdom over a specific part of nature, which is why as witches we may call on all the elements when we want to perform ritual or create a spell. This series will aid you in beginning your journey, or serve as a refresher, through the pentacle path by focusing on one of the five elements in a non-denominational setting. All living beings are made of and emit energy, an aura, that can be seen, felt, and read to gain a better understanding of that being. During this workshop, you will learn how the energetic system works and how to see, feel and read the aura. You will learn through discussion and practical exercises. So, what exactly is Reiki? Reiki is the universal (REI) life force energy (KI) that flows thru, in and around the universe and all of creation. It is the non-physical energy that maintains the physical body and is able to heal the body, mind and spirit on all levels. Reiki has a very specific vibration, and to use it, one must receive training and an attunement from a Reiki master/teacher. Although there are many different systems of Reiki, they are the same as much as they are different. Reiki will always follow the intent to heal - it can do no harm. It knows where the healing is needed and will flow to that area without any added intent from the practitioner. A Reiki treatment will restore balance, harmony, energy, reduce stress and anxiety, balance the energy centers of the body, and cleanse the aura - the benefits are endless - and it is my pleasure to be able to offer this class and put new healers into the world!
