After a debilitating nervous breakdown, author Gregory Andrus set out to walk every single beach of the Jersey Shore, from Sandy Hook all the way down to Cape May. Walking through snowstorms, heat waves, and gales, as well as stunning sunny days, Gregory forged ahead, with nothing but his trusty film camera, his love of the ocean and his faith keeping him company. By the end of the journey, Gregory was surprised by what he learned.

The Captain forbids the marriage, wanting to match Josephine instead with the well-bred Sir Joseph, First Lord of the Admiralty. In the meantime, the Captain finds himself in nearly the same position as his daughter: his former nanny, Little Buttercup, falls in love with him, but he hesitates to reciprocate due to his higher social rank. The whole situation is turned on its head when Little Buttercup reveals a game-changing secret she has kept for decades.
