The Rave-Ons’ Early Rock & Roll Radio Review

Starting with the king of rock & roll, Elvis Presley, the band pays tribute to rock & roll's founders. Audience members will sing along to songs by their favorite 50's artists including: Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Dion and The Belmonts, The Everly Brothers, and of course, Buddy Holly. By the end of the show, you will learn how all these great performers inspired and spawned some of the best bands of all time like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many other popular 1960's rockers. Sinatra: A Voice in Time
The Ocean County Library 101 Washington St, Toms River, NJ, United StatesIn celebration of Italian-American Heritage Month, join us with Phil Bruschi, as he presents a musical biography on famed Italian-American performer, Frank Sinatra. Phil pays tribute to Sinatra's musical career; how he continually reinvented himself as a singer, as well as some of his biggest recordings from 1939 to his final retirement in 1995. Phil will sing selected Sinatra songs that were hits from the Big Band era to his solo career. Registration is required for all attendees.

Brian Betz is a past winner of the Betty Carter International Jazz Competition. Vinnie Corrao is a veteran guitarists who has performed at many and varied jazz venues. There will also be a question-and- answer portion of the program.

Back by popular demand, our Holiday Tea will be offered to those wishing to visit the beautifully decorated Mathis House Tearoom at 600 Main Street in Toms River on December 6, 2022. Guests may look forward to the ever-delicious scones, yummy tea sandwiches, and scrumptious mini-desserts that accompany generous pots of fine tea as they chat with friends in the historical elegance of this stately home. Gary has been a part of the local music scene for decades, performing with a variety of bands, such as the Lamplighters, Ragtimers, and Ocean County String Band. Recently, as a solo guitarist, he has entertained audiences at venues ranging from arts and crafts fairs to senior communities.

Irish Concert with Charlie Zahm
The Ocean County Library 101 Washington St, Toms River, NJ, United StatesIn celebration of St. Patrick's Day, spend the evening on a musical journey through the Emerald Isle with performer Charlie Zahm. When Charlie was old enough to sing, he began appreciating the beautiful Celtic songs and melodies he first heard in the largely Scottish province of his mother's birth, Ontario, Canada. Keenly aware of his own heritage, which includes healthy doses of Scottish and Irish blood on both sides of his family, Charlie has collected several hundred popular (as well as beautiful and obscure) selections and now performs them for thousands of fans up and down the Eastern Seaboard and across America.
