Discover the art of flower pressing in this creative two-part workshop exploring the timeless art of flower pressing. Your instructor, Simone Sheppard will demonstrate how to press flowers using different techniques, tips and tools. Then, over the next 6 weeks, students will collect and press their own blooms to bring to the second session. You’ll use your flowers to create beautiful handmade cards and bookmarks. Most materials will be provided. Just bring your pressed treasures and creativity! Students need to bring a small pallet knife or butter knife and scissors. Murder Mystery Dinner Show at the Mathis House It's 1955 and all the kids at Die-Dell High are getting ready for the prom. Peggy Sue is preparing for her big show stopping musical number when tragedy strikes! She has been poisoned! Was it one of her lovers? Was it a jealous girlfriend? Was it her new manager Be sure to pay attention, as the professional actors of the Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company try to trick you while you're trying to solve the mystery of 'Who Killed Peggy Sue?? The Dinner Service includes: Mini Charcuterie Cups as the appetizer, main dish is Chicken Picatta, a side of Penne Vodka, sauteed brocolli rabe, a mixed green salad, and warm bread with herb butter. Dessert for the evening is a variety of teatime desserts. Dinner Show tickets are $75.00 plus tax and cash gratuity. $55 for Seniors 65 and up.
