South Football’s Impossible Dream explores techniques used by legendary Toms River coach, Ron Signorino, Sr., in the 1960s, to turn a struggling high school football program into a powerhouse, ranked No. 1 in New Jersey. Coach Signorino challenged his players to believe in “The Impossible Dream,” and, with guts and grit, they clinched 19 consecutive wins. The one-hour film features rare footage of “The Greatest Game Ever Played at the Jersey Shore,” an epic battle in 1969 between Toms River South’s Hitting Indians and the Middletown Lions, that helped put Shore Conference Football on the map. Poignant interviews with former players reveal the impact Coach Signorino has had on their lives–-on and off the field–- during his career of more than 50 years. After the documentary viewing, producer, Sandy Levine, will host a Q&A session. For more than 35 years, filmmaker Sandra Levine has used her exceptional storytelling skills to inspire good, through informative documentaries, and engaging feature stories. Come relax while your servers dressed in Victorian Dresses and serve a delicious Creme Tea with two warm scones, lemon curd and preserves and a full pot of gourmet tea per person.
