DESCRIPTION:Toms River Elks is excited to announce that this year’s Festival of Trees will be held on Thursday December 5\, 2024. \nThe theme of this year’s event is inclusion! The great hall will be decorated of course! This year the decorations will include Dr Seuss inspired designs created by our special children. \nWhat is the Festival of Trees? \nLocal non-profit organizations are invited to participate in this event by displaying a beautifully decorated artificial Christmas tree that represents your organization and the services that you provide. On December 5th we will welcome the public to our gala holiday festival\, complete with snacks and beverages for all. This year we have some real treats in store for you\, including a S’mores Bar! Our cash kitchen will also be open for you to purchase a light fare of dinner foods. There will be music throughout the evening including a performance by the students in the Toms River Orchestra. Santa will be in the house! \nThis event has had hundreds of followers for years now! \nThe trees will remain on display at the lodge through Sunday December 15th\, sharing your message to all lodge members and guests. \nThe application submission period to participate in the 2024 Festival ofTrees opens on August 6\, 2024.\nApplications must be received by November 15\, 2024. \nThis year there are 3 different contests. \n“Tree That Best Reflects The Theme Of Inclusion” – First and second place prizes \n“Tree That Best Reflects Its Organizations Message” – First and second place prizes \n“Best Overall Tree” – First place \nWho makes the Festival of Trees happen? \nThis program is made possible by members of the Toms River Elks on behalf of Elks National Foundation.  We believe that it is very important for us to support the nonprofit organizations in our community who\, like the Elks\, do so much to help our neighbors in need. In a relaxed and accepting atmosphere \, each camper experiences new adventures\, lasting friendships\, and opportunities that promote independence and greater self-confidence. Campers attend Elks Camp Moore at no charge to the families. Throughout the plunge season\, each Elks lodge helps raise the funds needed to cover all camp costs. \nAdvance tickets only. SUMMARY:Toms River Elks Trunk or Treat
DESCRIPTION:The Toms River Elks Special Children’s Committee (SCC) is hosting this year’s Trunk or Treat. The SCC works with compassion and dedication to provide programs and events for children and adults with special needs. Our programs allow for special children of all ages to interact socially\, and encourages them to attain their full potential. Participants in SCC programs have the opportunity to partake in many lodge events and programs such as dances\, cooking classes and buddy bocce at no cost. \nThis event is open to the public and free to attend. \nWe are inviting nonprofit organizations\, businesses and members of the community to participate by decorating their vehicle and passing out candy or child appropriate sensory toys to all the trick or treaters as they walk around to each vehicle. \nAwards will be handed out for the best-decorated vehicles and children in costume. ​ \nThe rain date for the event is Saturday\, October 19\, 2024. \nThe parade will begin at 2:30 PM. The Trunk or Treat will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. \nParticipation in the Costume Parade is free and open to any age and ability. An RSVP is required for planning purposes. \nIn addition to parade participants\, the Toms River Elks is seeking residents\, businesses and organizations that would like to participate by decorating a vehicle and handing out treats.  Participating cars are required to pre-register as there is a limited number of spots available. \nOnly a limited number of spaces is available. Entry is free and spaces will be allocated in the order applications are received.

DESCRIPTION:The Toms River Elks Plunge Committee is holding a Bowling Bash on Saturday August 10\, 2024 to raise money to help send children with special needs to camp. \n\n\nBowlers pay $25 and pre-registration is necessary. The price for this open event includes two hours of bowling at Playdrome (including shoes) from 11 AM to 1 PM followed by lunch at the lodge. For people or companies that wish to support the event but cannot attend\, lane sponsorships are available. Visit www.tomsriverelks.org/plunge-bowling to reserve a space or get more information. All proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit Elks Camp Moore. \nElks Camp Moore is the New Jersey Elks State Project.
