DESCRIPTION:Join presenter Paul Zigo to learn about the Korean War: America’s ‘Forgotten War’. Learn about its profound impact on East-West relations during the Cold War\, the aspects of the war\, and the armistice that brought it to a halt. Registration is required. This presentation will be hosted at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library.  \nPaul E. Zigo\, a history professor\, author and military historian is the founder and director\, of the World War II Era Studies Institute. The institute is dedicated to furthering one’s knowledge and understanding of the WW II era and its impact on history. He is a graduate of Temple University and the United States Army War College. Mr. Paul E. Zigo is a 30 year veteran of the United States Army retiring as a Colonel and is a founding sponsor of the National Museum of the US Army.

Washington Street will be filled with food\, merchandise and handcraft vendors. Toms River Fire Co. #1 will host a beer & wine garden. Local artists will be selling and displaying their works as part of a juried art show. Downtown businesses\, restaurants\, brewery and distillery will be open on the street. There will be free activities for the kids including pumpkin painting. Live entertainment from local bands throughout the day. Free admission and all public parking throughout downtown is free day of the event.
