Master Plan:
		To propel Downtown Toms River energetically into revitalization, the organization has developed a Master Plan for the District in conjunction with Phillips Preiss Shapiro Associates, a distinguished planning consulting firm from New York City. Area Maintenance:
		Control Services Group has been brought on board as our “Clean Team” to support clean up in Downtown Toms River. Look for them three days per week, in their Downtown Toms River uniforms cleaning and sprucing up our streets.
Business Seminars & Workshops:
		Downtown Toms River hosts seminars and workshops to both new and existing businesses to assist with business development, while providing new techniques and technology available today.
Economic Development:
		Downtown Toms River is working with its members, real estate developers and all scales of retailers to promote the downtown and assist in moving properties for sale, rent or to relocate into the district.
Events:
		Promoting the Downtown through events is a major element in revitalizating the district. Downtown Toms River hosts many events along Washington Street and in Huddy Park to attract and entertain visitors. In addition, many other community and civic organizations also host their events and festivities here. Many sponsorship opportunities and partnerships are available. The community is invited to get involved in the excitement by volunteering for planning the event or on event day.
Holiday Festivities:
		Downtown Toms River works with the Township and County to put up the festive holiday decorations throughout the Downtown Toms River district. Every year, the Christmas Tree Lighting takes place with music, refreshments, and Santa's arrival on the Toms River Fire Company No.1's fire engine. In addition, businesses and residents in the downtown district are encouraged to decorate their buildings and compete in the Holiday Decorating Contest to light up the streets!
Marketing & Promotion:
		Development of new promotions plans such as the Farmers Market highlight the shopping, dining and cultural experiences offered in the district. Assistance is provided to area merchants by promoting and advertising existing and new businesses in the Downtown Toms River district. Continuous press releases are sent to the media regarding new news, event and promotions in the district.
Parking:
		We are working together with the Toms River Township parking Authority to improve parking in the downtown area. For more information on parking, click here.
Partnerships:
		Downtown Toms River partners and coordinates with Toms River Township, Ocean County and the State of NJ to improve and revitalize our downtown area. DTR also works with the local cultural and historic societies to incorporate and promote the history of Toms River.
Security:
		The Toms River Township police have added a police sub-stationin the heart of the downtown area on e on Main St. An emergency phone is being installed outside of the Downtwn Toms River office. This additional security serves the downtown area; we appreciate the support of Toms River Township and its officials.
